This is such a cool vintage gaming store! They have such a well stocked inventory of all gaming systems! The prices are amazing! The staff is so friendly and helpful. My kids love coming and playing the video game systems they have set up!
I love this store!! Been coming here for maybe 3 years now, and the workers (I think Spencer is the one I usually see) are always super welcoming and down to earth. I used to sell a lot of my old games/manga on eBay but now I’d honestly rather give it to them because it feels good to support them and their business! Definitely the coolest shop in the Ephrata area!
The service seemed fine until one of the guys working at the register told me and my friend to not talk about price comparisons at the store cause it’s disrespectful like bro heard of the first Amendment buddy. It’s not communist China. I can talk about prices all I want. I have been to many retro game stores and talked prices in front of them and not a single one has confronted me in that regard. It’s my right to check prices before purchase. So don’t go there and tell me what I can and not say.
Update: first off, It wasn’t even constant. Second off, I was very close to buying super paper Mario for my friend from your store until you did what you did. Honestly if you feel so offended by me and my friend minding our own business discussing price comparisons that we found online then don’t run a business. Usually the best retro game stores we’ve gone to would negotiate prices and do their research instead of rudely telling us with a passive aggressive tone and a red face to not talk about prices. .
I really like going to this store, I purchased a N64 that I constantly use, my brother bought a console of his own and games that he uses however, I've recently purchased a GameCube that I was excited to try however the console wouldn't read any of the games and it seems to not spin the disc. I felt like before selling the console, it was tested, but I don’t know what this place does with the consoles before they reach the shelves. I most likely will, at some point, change this review as I still intend on going here for games.
Edit: After going in I learned that they had more and exchanged it and before I left I asked if it was possible for them to test it. I will probably always ask this if I am buying a console here as that is a game changer since I will no longer need to head home to test the consoles.
Rewriting my review! It’s the little things that show thoughtfulness. The fact that I got a used console from them and it had a full battery right off the bat was thoughtful. 💙 …
Game store is one of the best I have been to. I have been collecting for over a decade and I have never seen a store with such fair deals prices all under online market prices and there trade in value is incredible! Just traded in my ps2 today and got about 75% of what there sale price is going for that is unheard of. I highly recommend for all collectors! God Bless!
I've been going here for years. Spencer always gives great deals! You're almost guaranteed to find something of interest there from games to comics to funkos and other collectibles. Plus, a free arcade!
This is a very nice game store! Clean, organized, and they present a great selection. What always impresses me the most is the owner. He's the nicest guy you'll ever meet. He's courteous and friendly and he cuts deals, which are greatly appreciated. If you look at the reviews, you'll see he takes the time to respond to each and every one! That says a lot about his appreciation for his customers. It appears his business is flourishing and he earned it!
